Catch up

This is Lucille Depin, on the left, and Lois Hawks. They were in awhile back to pick out fabric for Lois to make a jacket like Lucille's in black and gray tones. I wonder if she finished it by now. I'm trying to get a little more organized and find pictures that I haven't put on the blog yet.

Vi Olson has her hexagon top all ready to layer. She has done it completely by hand.
Janet Vaughn is getting a lot done lately. She completed this star top in just a couple of days, it seemed like.
She also made this leaf top,
and this Christmassy one.

Christmas Continues

How's everyone's holidays going?

The festivities continue here at my house with people leaving today and people arriving today. Then a couple more arriving on Thursday.
The trees shown above are in the computer room at my house.
Here's my big ornaments in the wire basket, with Nutcrackers standing guard. Also a few Christmas pillows on the couch.

Christmas Tree

Merry Christmas Eve! This is my tree. It has quite an assortment of things hanging on it. I took some pictures of some of the ornaments I've made over the years and a few others.

One year I made a zillion of these snowmen. Some with the star on it's head, and some with the star on the scarf. These are my shoes from when I was a little girl.
My Grandma crocheted the little stocking. A long time ago I made the mouse in the Santa hat and the oval Santa with the cinnamon stick.
Here are Joel's baby sneakers. I have a picture of him wearing them as an infant. Keri's shoes are below them.
More snowmen and a couple of cross stitch ornaments. My color choices haven't changed much since the 80's.
This cross stitch ornament is about one and a half inches. I don't know what I was thinking. We had a lack of ornaments back then, so I made them, but a little bigger would have been better. I do not take credit for the frog thing. I have no idea where it came from or why it's on the tree. The beaded candy cane was a Brownie project, though.
This is not hand made, but one of my favorites. A dressed up lamb with a halo on it's foot. You don't see that everyday! It used to hang on my parents tree when I was little and I always took it and put it in the manger, usually in the loft.

This is an original Elf On The Shelf. It was my Grandma's.
Here's Louie! She does enjoy sitting under the tree.

Christmas Closing

We will be closing early on Christmas Eve-December 24.

We will be closed on December 25, 26, and 27.

We will be open as usual on Monday the 28th.

Willie made this tree. Isn't it cute?

We saw it in the Quilts and More magazine and decided to make it.
Here's mine. I thought it would look good in my tree forest. Maybe next year.
Here's another tree that has a chance to grow by Christmas 2010. They had really cool ribbon trees on display in Victoria's Secret stores this year. Of course I wanted to make one. I got as far as gathering my pink and red ribbon and the cone and putting them in a bag all together. I was ready. I'm still ready.
I'll be ready next year too, I'm sure. Where are the elves when you need them?

Binky's Quilts

This month we have had the pleasure of hanging quilts by Binky Page. They are absolutely gorgeous!!

The workmanship is amazing!
They are all done by hand!
They are not to be missed!

Snow

We have snow!! Lot's of snow!! This post is for all of the people away from the Cape so they can see what they are missing.

Every window looked like this. We couldn't see out any windows.
It was a good day to stay inside and quilt!

Barbara has finished her red and yellow quilt top. So many different reds!

Valerie's pug, Mika John, stopped in for a visit to Monday class.
He drew quite a crowd! Everyone wanted to say hello!
Dot is very pleased with her star quilt! She had Laurie LaConti quilt it for her.
Here's another one just finished. The pink fabric was a fun fabric choice for the alternate blocks in this scrappy quilt.

This is my patchwork manger. Click on the picture. The camel has a thimble on his head. One of the shepherds has a button on his head.

Barbara Clark made this quilt for her son and daughter-in-law for Christmas. I don't know the cat's name.
Debbie Zeida has been making these folded fabric ornaments. I've always liked these type of ornaments.
This quilt is Sarah Tibbetts' first quilt! Amazing!
This is Sarah's second quilt. She had both of them quilted by Laurie LaConti. They both came out beautiful!
I can't wait to see what she does next!

Christmas Quilts

These trees are in my kitchen.

Mary Gould has all these tops finished and was in to get fabrics for the back of them.
She has a lot of Christmas quilts!
Starting in January she'll be teaching a "Christmas All Year" class once a month so everyone can work on Christmas things. It seems like every year Christmas sneaks up on us and it's a race to get things done in time.
The upcoming class schedule is in the final stages and should be out next week.
