Let's see, what's coming up? Laurie LaConte will be at the shop on Thursday, January 21, from 1-2:30 to pick up and drop off quilts and answer any questions you might have about her machine quilting.
Willie will be teaching the biscuit basket on Sunday, January 17, from 12-4. Or you can make any other bag or just work on another project if you'd like.

blog. I'm personally addicted to making owls. Mary will have the others plus more on Tuesday. I like to have the not specifically Christmas type year round to attach to a bottle of wine to bring to someone's house or put one in a little gift bag with candy for someone in need of a "little thought".

This is the sample for the next Tablerunner Class on Saturday, February 6, from 10-4. Besides Christmas, (it's never too early to think about that) Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and numerous other days are times when tablerunners make great gifts. Can you tell that I'm in a -I'm not going to let Christmas creep up again and find me unorganized and unprepared-kind of mood?

blog. She made a different cookie type every day during the month of December and the recipes are shared on her cookie blog. We were lucky enough to sample some at the shop and they were wonderful! Thank you Michelle.
This was a nice surprise this week! Sonya Wargo came in to use our tables to layer her redwork quilt top that her Mother had made about 70 years ago.
It's finally going to be a quilt instead of a top! 
The redwork is beautiful on it, stitching and designs.

She made it for her brother, who is the principal trombonist for the New York City Ballet Orchestra, and his wife for Christmas.

And he brought lots and lots of friends!! So, all week they have been hanging out with me, keeping me company. Lucky me!
I still keep a pile of stuff handy but those awful visitors are requiring all my attention. I don't think they'll be staying much longer though. One can only hope. I do enjoy looking at my stuff and making plans for more stitching!

Megan spent Tuesday night picking out borders for her king size 30's sno-ball quilt.
Marianne finished this special order quilt for a woman in New Jersey with time to spare!
Carol Ayotte finished this Christmas quilt that had been sitting around for awhile. I love the different stitching on the trees.
