NO POWER! Closed Again!
Well, upon entering the store we discovered no power and no heat! Apparently there is a power line done on 6A somewhere nearby and they hope to have it fixed later this afternoon.
So, see you tomorrow!
So, see you tomorrow!

Tumbleweed Closed Thursday
Tumbleweed is still not plowed out yet. It should be done later today. So, we will not be open today.
This was what my street looked like until about 5:00 yesterday. Snow, nothing but snow. There is a lot of snow out there!
Here is my husband clearing our driveway yesterday. You can see behind him the road him still untouched. Crazy!
So, stay in and sew!

Storm!! Tumbleweed Closed Wednesday!
We have SNOW!! Lots of SNOW!! It is still SNOWING! This is the view out my side door right now. The brown thing on the right is my picnic table.
You can see it better here. So, the store will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday. My street is not even plowed yet. I hope everyone is safe and cozy and doing lots of storm quilting.
I have been doing hand embroidery to add to my other hand embroidered nautical themed pieces of fabric I have been doing to eventually sew into a quilt. Hearty Good Wishes fabric inspired.
Here are a bunch up on my design wall in no semblance of order.
I also have been hand appliquéing wedges using Australian fabrics. This is a good project to do while watching the Australian Open which happens to be on this week.
So, I hope you are having a good storm and we will see you on Thursday!

Quilts By Marie Spadaro
There is still time to come in to Tumbleweed to see Marie Spadaro's wallhangings hanging in our display area!
Marie does intricate machine quilting to add to the overall design of her pieces.
Marie likes to "play" with transparent fabrics in her pieces.
She likes to work in a series to develop her designs. These have a landscape feel to them.
Beads and embellishments are always good!
In these pieces the designs are completely machine stitched using different colors and weights of threads to create her finished wallhanging!
Fabric paint is used for the added color.
The machine quilted backgrounds really are interesting!
Don't forget to click on the photos to see more detail!
I love looking at this piece! She used the same color thread on different backgrounds to create this wallhanging!
