Maggie and John Got Married!

Willie's daughter Maggie got married last Friday!! She had the most beautiful dress ever! Look at the back!
The front was gorgeous, too! Willie and her girls, Maggie and Katie, made a lot of the things they needed for the wedding. Like the veil.
Willie made a tablerunner for each of the tables. The tables were beautiful!

The place card tags and candy boxes were embossed by Maggie. Katie put "Maggie and John" stickers on the bottoms of the chocolate kisses.
Willie also made garters, one to keep, and one to throw, for the bride. Everything was beautiful and had the talented, artistic, personal touch of all the Fiedler girls!
Congratulations Maggie and John!! (and Willie!!!)

Misc.

Laurie LaConte will be at the shop on Thursday, June 23, from 1 to 2:30 to pick up and drop off quilts and answer any questions you have about longarm machine quilting.

This is the Mermaid that Carol Ayotte will be teaching in July!
Marie Spadaro finished this quilt with lots of machine quilting! She used 14 different threads, a lot of them metallic, on this quilt! Gabriel is doing a great job helping to hold it up!
She used a shimmery ribbon to bind the edges! There's also a lot of beads on the quilt that don't show up in the pictures.
Now she's finishing up this baby quilt! Just the borders to go!

No Time!

This is what my sewing room has looked like since last Thursday. Each of these three blankets has a person under it sleeping. My cousin got married yesterday here on the Cape and everyone at the wedding was from out of town except for me and my husband. We're down to just four extra people staying at the house now. It's fun but exhausting.
Of course I prepared a hand project to work on. As if I didn't already have quite a few started already. I have been sewing giant hexagons with giant Kaffe flowers. They just keep multiplying and appearing on my design wall. A little calmness amongst the madness!
