BARBARA HAS FINISHED A QUILT!!!!! Do you recognize the fabric? Some of you might remember it from long, long ago. And now the quilt is finished! Barbara comes to Debbie's class on a regular basis, is always working on something, and yet we never seem to see anything completed. Until now that is. Way to go Barbara!!

Patty seems to get quite a bit done. Here's a tablerunner for a really long table that she is pin basting to prepare for quilting.
Ursula Lincoln is putting the finishing touches on this scrappy Thimbleberries quilt for her grandson.

Misc.

Valerie Ward has just the binding left on her Crabapple Hill quilt. The green is different! I like it with green!

The panels are hand embroidered by Valerie. Click it to see closer and take a look at the turkeys.
Marianne V. finished this quilt. It's nice to cross one off the list of quilts to finish!
Rhiannon is ready to layer this Trip Around the World quilt. She made this one for herself for a change!
How cool is this necklace! It's actually made of fabric!!
Donna Gates made it in a class in Florida. It's made with cording covered with fabric, with the addition of beads.

Kaffe Quilts

Lynne Swanson, from Carlisle, was on the Cape visiting and stopped in and showed us some of her quilts. I love them! This one is a Piece of Cake pattern done with Kaffe fabric.

This design was in one of the Kaffe books.
These next two are also from Kaffe books.

Here's Lynne holding up one that is from American Jane.
And another Kaffe. This one was made before she got her longarm machine and instead of the usual knot for tying a quilt, she made french knots in every corner.
It's a nice touch, interesting to see.

Mermaids

Marianne Millette-Kelley is pictured showing us her latest Mermaid Quilt.

She will be teaching a machine appliqued wallhanging version using Marianne's original pattern in July.
Or you can make several blocks and plan a larger quilt.
Either way, Mermaids are fun to do!

Tuffet

I finished another tuffet.

Amy Butler's Gumdrop pillow pattern, with flower petals, beads, tassels, and feathers added.

And lots of stuffing.

Other Things

Stephanie Walenski just finished up a course in bookmaking at Cape Cod Community College. It was fascinating! It's right down the street from the store, so it was real easy to stop most weeks and show us what the current project was. Monday was the last day, and she had to have 12 books completed. They were wonderful! Stephanie currently has a black and white linoleum print on display at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis in an exhibit called Printmakers of Cape Cod. It will be on display until Memorial Day. Stephanie will have her quilts on display at Tumbleweed during the month of August.

In addition to quilting, the "Thursday Girls" seem to be doing a lot of knitting lately. Sue has started on this scarf with all the loops on it.
Charlotte Toia was down south somewhere for a few months and came back with this knitted skirt. It's a fun skirt, the kind that makes you want to swirl and spin. She just puts it in the washing machine to clean it and it keeps the shape and comes out wonderful.
I think Paula made this bag. Beautiful colors!
Charlotte had this box that
when opened, held lots of needeles, pins, and even a thimble in the little box in the center.
