My Quilt

I finally finished this top. It's queen size, measuring 98 x 98.
It seemed like it took long.
Now I need to get a back for it, get it quilted, then on with other projects.

Willie's Latest

Willie had a lot to show us this week! This quilt is from one of the Kaffe Fasset books. I absolutely love his fabrics!
She made this really cute wallhanging! It's a really happy little wallhanging! My favorite is the beaded swing hanging from the tree.
She also brought in this pincushion she'd made. She's a busy girl!
This is the same pincushion, only flipped over to the reverse side.
Cool, huh!

By the Way...

I just thought I'd let you know that Laurie LaConte will be at the store on Thursday, June 17, from 1 to 2:30 to pick up and drop off quilts and to answer any questions you may have about having her machine quilt your quilt.

On Wednesday, July 14, from 11 to 3 we will be making sports themed quilts to donate to children through the Wrapped Up In Sports Organization. If you have any Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, or Celtics tee shirts you're able to donate to the cause, please bring them in. We'll use the team logos in the quilts. Also bring in any fabric that is the team colors that we can use.

Misc.

Claire Costello is making this quilt for her Grandson. It's coming along! He's about 6 feet tall so there's still a ways to go.
Joanne Goverman came in to visit! We miss Joann! She's not able to come in as much as she used to. She brought this quilt in to show us. I love it! It's all hand quilted and beautiful!
Eeda Jill had yet another shawl to show off! This one she made, along with the pin closure, earrings, and hair clip.
I felt the shawl and it was sooo soft! Take a closer look at the accessories.
And an even closer look at the hair clip. It's about a million teeny tiny beads that she picked up one by one and attached all together to become this hair clip.

Runners Club

Last Saturday was a tablerunner making day at Tumbleweed. Priscilla White made two runners.
Pictured above you can see the one on the table, and below she's holding her other one.
Olive was busy sewing rectangles to make triangles for the Happy Holidays Tabletopper.
Sandy Hartman made her runner in blue.
Doris Bryan did some math and adapted her runner to be longer and wider.
Anne Ashley was finishing her small Happy Holidays Tabletopper.
Carol Antis was piecing her Holiday Tabletopper.

Quilts By Mary Ellen Streeter

Mary Ellen Streeter had three quilts done to show everyone in class the other night. I like the .
borders being different on the sides.
Here's another one she made.
This one is a Ricky Tims convergence style quilt. Don't forget he's coming to the Cape in September, along with Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman. More info by clicking the link on the right.
