The wisteria is blooming and smelling marvelous!  This is the view out of the window!

 Today we received the Dear Stella fabric line called "It's a Shore Thing".

 Take a look at the seagulls wearing yellow rubber boots and hats!

I also really like the clams peeking out of their shells!  Very cute!

 JoAnn finished this quilt and had it to show us this morning!

 She has almost finished her Ghastlie quilt!

Party On!

The Friday Open Sew ladies do like to party!  They try and celebrate birthdays, in addition to their long list of other things worthy of celebration.  This month there were 5 birthdays so a Titanic Tea was set up by Jeanne and Shari!

 There was an abundance of first class food!

 Some people even sewed!

 First class and steerage mingled!

 Did I mention the food?

 The Five Birthday Girls!

And a good time was had by all!  As usual!

Carol Horrigan and Marie Spadaro teamed up to make this quilt, together with children from the St. Pius X School in Hyannis.  The quilt will be raffled as a fund raiser.

 Carol pieced the quilt, the children made the flowers and hands, and Marie machine appliquéd them and then machine quilted it.  Team work!

 Dot Mitchell made this hand appliquéd beauty!

 Megan Nickerson made these apron skirts!

 Megan made these quilt blocks and during an Open Sew with Willie decided to set them on point and put black in between to set them off!

 One of Megan's dear friends discovered a collection of antique supplies in the storage locker of her deceased in-laws - intended to be made into quilt for their first Granddaughter.  Megan agreed to see the project through, and with advice from Willie, reinforced the Sun Bonnet Sue blocks, added red sashing and utilized a great feed sack for the border.  There was one leftover Sue for dedication block on the back.

 Jane Moreton made this ice cream quilt using Westminster fabrics!

 Alice Bownes brought her finished quilt to show us!  She made this quilt to give to the Osterville Village Library to be raffled!  She hand appliquéd and quilted this quilt.  It will hang in the Library for awhile before it is raffled so stop by and buy a ticket!

Marie Spadaro has been busy playing with circles!  Here's her latest!

This one was made using silk fabrics and glitz!  Check out the sparkly ribbon she used to bind it!

 I love these colors!

 Same colors here only ferns and dragonflies instead of circles.

 Marie will be teaching at Tumbleweed this coming Wednesday, May 2, from 10 to 1.

Carol Jones used the classroom to layer this quilt she is making for her daughter.

 Carol Eaton made this bunny for a baby shower gift!  She made her "friend" in Carol Ayotte's Open Sew Class.

 This quilt was made by Merry Smith in a class with Carol Ayotte!

Lynn Conroy was working on this quilt in Carol's Open Sew Class on Tuesday.  Really awesome!
