Polka Dots

Ronnie Heiny made this scrappy sampler using all polka dot fabric. It's 101 by 101 inches, using 8 1/2 squares. Ronnie always has something good to show us whenever she visits from New York. She made this quilt in her Dotty Club and is giving it to her Granddaughter.

I love polka dots! They make me smile. This is a top waiting impatiently to be layered and quilted that I made awhile back. It's all polka dots. It's a Piece of Cake pattern.
Each of the blocks has 103 pieces, all different dot fabrics. Actually I think I may have accidently repeated a couple. Who knows!

Misc.

Ruth made this baby quilt using the appliqued vines and flowers from an old quilt. The quilt was cut up in the middle and other places so Ruth salvaged what she could and made this quilt.

Jeanne made sea shell placemats in a class with Adele.
They are reversible, so here is a look at the back.
Sheri opted for a red, white, and blue combination for her placemats.
She used red and green on the other side for a completely different look.

More Thursday girls!

Most of the Thursday gang was here last Thursday. There were a few missing. They were all gathered around while Sue was showing them something so I quick took a picture.

Alice worked on a needlepoint project for awhile.
Paula helped Charlotte arrange fabrics for a strata for a Strips and Curves quilt.
Vi was stitching a horse.
Paula brought this necklace that she made to show everyone.
Charlotte had a lot of cupcakes she had made. Don't they make you smile?

Quilts

The ladies on Thursday morning always seem to have a lot to show everyone. Here's some of the quilts from last Thursday. First we have this Pinwheel done by Charlotte.

Micki made this quilt for her sister-in-law (a lover of all things Mickey Mouse) with Mickey Mouse fabric.
Barbara Rodgers had this quilt and
this quilt to show everyone.
Paula Tuano showed two Strips and Curves quilts.

Zippers!

We now have zippers at the store!

Willie immediately made a pile for a new bag. I wonder what color zipper she will use? So many choices. I thought she should use them all!

Misc.

BARBARA HAS FINISHED A QUILT!!!!! Do you recognize the fabric? Some of you might remember it from long, long ago. And now the quilt is finished! Barbara comes to Debbie's class on a regular basis, is always working on something, and yet we never seem to see anything completed. Until now that is. Way to go Barbara!!

Patty seems to get quite a bit done. Here's a tablerunner for a really long table that she is pin basting to prepare for quilting.
Ursula Lincoln is putting the finishing touches on this scrappy Thimbleberries quilt for her grandson.

Misc.

Valerie Ward has just the binding left on her Crabapple Hill quilt. The green is different! I like it with green!

The panels are hand embroidered by Valerie. Click it to see closer and take a look at the turkeys.
Marianne V. finished this quilt. It's nice to cross one off the list of quilts to finish!
Rhiannon is ready to layer this Trip Around the World quilt. She made this one for herself for a change!
How cool is this necklace! It's actually made of fabric!!
Donna Gates made it in a class in Florida. It's made with cording covered with fabric, with the addition of beads.

Kaffe Quilts

Lynne Swanson, from Carlisle, was on the Cape visiting and stopped in and showed us some of her quilts. I love them! This one is a Piece of Cake pattern done with Kaffe fabric.

This design was in one of the Kaffe books.
These next two are also from Kaffe books.

Here's Lynne holding up one that is from American Jane.
And another Kaffe. This one was made before she got her longarm machine and instead of the usual knot for tying a quilt, she made french knots in every corner.
It's a nice touch, interesting to see.

Mermaids

Marianne Millette-Kelley is pictured showing us her latest Mermaid Quilt.

She will be teaching a machine appliqued wallhanging version using Marianne's original pattern in July.
Or you can make several blocks and plan a larger quilt.
Either way, Mermaids are fun to do!

Tuffet

I finished another tuffet.

Amy Butler's Gumdrop pillow pattern, with flower petals, beads, tassels, and feathers added.

And lots of stuffing.
