Quilt Exhibit

There is a nice exhibit at Highfield Halls in Falmouth that ends on May 12, so there’s plenty of time to go and see it!

It’s actually 3 different exhibits that go very well together!
The quilt exhibit, The Language of Patterns: The Quilter’s Lexicon, has an eclectic variety of types, something for everyone!  Beautiful applique, pieced, antique, art, all different styles!

Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s quilt looks great matched up with this mermaid, one of the pieces from the Carousel of Light that are Alison on display.  There’s horses and painted canopy boards from the carousel artistically displayed amongst the quilts!

Sandra Gregg’s bright abstract piece is hung in a perfect spot by a beautiful stained glass window that happens to be part of Highfield Hall!

Here’s an intricate applique quilt made by Eleanor Mueller called the Conway Album Quilt. It is part of Priscilla Bartlett’s collection.

This is one of the canopy boards from the Carousel!  Below are paintings by Terry Dunn, which are on display throughout the building!

More canopy boards and an antique quilt displayed by a Carosel Horse!

This beautiful art quilt piece is Blue Wedding Ring by Judy Sebastian!

There’s plenty more to look at!  It’s the perfect activity, a visit to Highfield and then maybe lunch?
