Baby Mango

I got to see my sister-in-law's new baby girl over the weekend. Her big brother had been telling everyone who asked about names that the baby's name is Baby Mango. I like it. Her real name is Justine and she's beautiful.
Of course she needed a quilt of her own. She tried it out as soon as she got home.
She especially liked the cozy minkee on the back.

Flea Market

I couldn't resist this flea market today before the long drive home. Flea markets are such fun!
Everything seems more exciting and sparkly in NY for some reason. Like a whole booth full of chandeliers and crystals.
This chair would look great in my sewing room. Or anywhere in my house. I'd be willing to paint and redecorate if need be.
How about a whole booth full of furs? You don't see that everyday!
Another flea market sight! What a face!!
It's nice to be home, though. Thank you for your comments and support!

Around Town

This was a fun window we passed somewhere in Soho.

Another window had this gorgeous chanderlier in it.

New York New York

We arrived in NY late this afternoon. Just in time to check out this shop right down the street.
Then we went down to SoHo and found Purl. First the yarn and fibers shop,

then the Purl fabric shop. Very cool! It's always fun to check out other shops!
It's very small,

but they pack a lot of awesome fabric into their small space. They had a great selection of Japanese fabrics.
We'll see what I find tomorrow!

Thursday morning

Nancy's village is coming along nicely! She's working on the applique in the borders.
Vi is back to hexagons this week.
Here's a really cool pile of blocks! I can't wait to see them put together!
