Priorities

Last weekend, I decided it would be a good weekend to sew, sew, and sew some more.  So, I started another strippy baby quilt and flower pots from Freddy and Gwen's new book.  The flowers are going to be yo-yos and I needed a hand project because I have a road trip coming up, a cousin getting married.  So I sewed merrily along until Monday.
On Monday my son called me from Philadelphia and said he was coming home 4th of July weekend and he and his fiance wanted to get married.  At my house, in my yard.  My first thought was yeah!  they're getting married!  My second thought was we shouldn't have skipped weeding and gardening for the last three years.  My next thought was I needed to change the
outfit on my dress form to something more appropriate.  This is what she was wearing.

A little too heavy looking for a summer wedding.  So she changed to this.
My next thought was to continue sewing so I can clear my design wall.  I really have to start thinking about the rest of the house and pulling some weeds.  Wish me luck!!

As a fellow future Mother of the Groom, Congratulations! You're going to be a busy lady. Have you got their wedding quilt done yet? And is the Grass Skirt what you'll wear for the wedding??? I'm still looking for something to wear, but you've certainly inspired me ;)
