Mary Lou Mac Fadyen stopped in and showed us a couple of things. This wool penny rug was one of them.
She needed border fabric for this attic windows quilt. This is really cool!
Here's a better look at the penny rug. It was given to Mary Lou. It's hard to tell until you look closely, but each "penny" has two round circles of colored wool that is attached to a solid black background. It has embroidery around the colored circles to make it look like there's a black circle of wool under each one.
Here's a closer look. Interesting. It looked great.
