Happy Halloween!

Is everyone having fun? Here's my Fall/Halloween quilt I like to take out this time of year.
Click for the details.
After today it'll be time to pack up Halloween until next year. Time to take the spider out of the buttons,
the pillows off of the couch, and put everything away. I didn't get to show all the decorations around here, I'll get to them next year.
This is Dianne's Halloween quilt. Remember this one? I bet there's a lot of you that do.
This is one of Dianne's quilts, too.
Hope your Halloween was creepy!!

Almost Halloween

It's almost Halloween! I know I'm ready.
So is Barbara Rodgers, shown here festively attired showing us her summery bag she finished.
Here she is again, festively attired, working hard at something.
Debbie's ready for Halloween, too! She has a great trick or treat bag ready to go.
Susan Powell is definitely ready! She is visiting for the weekend from New Hampshire. I love her outfit!

Even More Halloween

Last Wednesday Evie was working on this Halloween tablerunner.
Paula Frantz had her tablerunner finished on Wednesday night.
Stephanie Dannemann has been using her fall bag all season.
I think for next year I'll make a tablerunner for under the big basket of pumpkins in my living room.
This is a closer look. Except for the one's with faces, they can stay through Thanksgiving.

More Halloween

These are some creepy characters that hang out in my sewing room.
Yuck!!!
That is MY spot that Louie is sitting in!
Right now the cauldron has my haunted house embroidery from Crabapple Hill, a little sparkly silver yarn for crocheting, and yoyos. Just what I need!

A little basket of thread, a cool Fall pin cushion, and black scissors to match.
And, it's pouring rain and windy outside! Perfect quilting weather! Time to get cozy!

Halloween

The cute troll family is out enjoying the season.
My tomatoes always seem to get bugs this time of year.
Back in the closet, I forgot to show you the witch's shoes. Aren't they lovely?
Willie is spreading Halloween cheer! Some lucky recipients will be enjoying Halloween pillowcases and ties for the holiday!

Lots of skeletons in my closet!
Here's some of the girls hanging out in my sewing room.
This is their favorite time of year!
Aren't they lovely?
Halloween is coming! More creepiness to come!!

Cat Warning!

Remember Louie?
She was made famous by appearing in this photo,
and this photo, in the Studios Magazine?
Well, imagine my surprise when she appeared on Saturday Night Live last week with Seth Meyers!
I thought it wasn't possible, because obviously she was next to me on the couch reading this book.
Another chapter of Louie's secret life, perhaps?

Bags by Kim

Doris Gage-West's daughter, Kim, was up visiting and was nice enough to stop by and show us some of the bags she makes. (Lucky us)
She's showing us her Tommy Bahama fabric bag here and also a look at the inside, with more of the great fabric and of course, pockets.
Carol liked this bag. Actually, Carol liked a lot of bags.
I think this one was one of my favorites.
I liked the layered look of this one.
These bags are so roomy, perfect for traveling.
Click this one and you can see the brooch decoration.
Not the best picture, but I think this one was Carol's top pick.
There was more, too. Thank you Kim for showing us! It was like a trunk show for those of us at the store.
She does sell them under the name Gabriella Designs. As soon as she gets a web site, I'll let you know.

Quilt Show Pictures Again

A lovely mermaid greeted visitors to the Quilt Show.
A green quilt that goes well with the mermaid picture.
This quilt has beautiful quilting on it. Click it to see! And it has green in it, too.
These don't have much green in them, but still go with the mermaid.
These go well with the mermaid, too. Why, do you ask, am I concerned with matching the mermaid?
Absolutely no reason whatsoever! My mind seems to automatically group things together. The first group from the show were mostly black and white, now green mermaid types, another day might be Christmas, etc.

More Quilts

Charlotte Toia wore this lovely vest she made, especially appropriate for this season.
Here's the back view.
Willie will be teaching this bag in a class on November 1 and 15. Think Christmas! It'll be here before we know it!
Audrey Germer stopped by and showed us her current Masterpiece she's working on. Her quilts are simply amazing!
