Misc.

Nancy Ellis made this quilt in Carol Jones's Scrappy Tuesday II Class. The centers of the stars are really cool! Nice!
Laurie LaConte showed us this quilt she had made. Don't you just love Kaffe's fabrics?
Click this one to see the chickens! Linda Maddaluno fell in love with Maureen's chicken hex quilt and started her own!
There are a lot of different chicken fabrics out in the fabric world that can be collected, apparently! Who knew! Personally, I think the hunting and gathering is really fun.
She is also working on this hexagon quilt!
Priscilla Delgado is also working with hexagons! She's making mug rugs out of hexagons! She brought them in to pick out fabric for the backs.

There's lots of Piece O' Cake fabric!

And these two! Don't you just feel like making a baby quilt for a little baby boy?

Margo's Quilts

Margo Driscoll made this "One Block Wonder" quilt with Philip Jacobs fabric. Doesn't it look great outside?
This is another of Margo's quilts. This one was made with Bali Pops. We have a nice selection of Bali Pops in stock right now. They're convenient to use and look great in quilts!

Thursday

On a recent Thursday morning, Paula's grandson's Lyle and Jake stopped in for a visit.
Lyle is holding this fabric with a design he hand quilted on it.
The design stitched on this fabric showed up better on the back. The back is also very neat! Nice stitching Lyle!
Jessica Woods-Robinson finished another wallhanging! This one is called "Tree of Life." Click it to see more details.
She also had this one to show us, which was a collaboration by Jessica and her daughter, Jessica.

Misc.

Ruth is working on this quilt. She laid out her blocks to see if she likes this arrangement,
or this one. No decision was made, I'll keep you informed.
Cheryl had this purse on her shoulder when she stopped by. I love the Japanese woven fabrics!
Judy Ruchia made this purse for Lois Crocker. It has beautiful machine embroidery on it!
Look at all the pockets on the inside!
Here's the wallet that Judy made to match.
This is how it looks opened up. It has lots of pockets for cards.
I hope you had a great weekend!

Chickens!

Maureen Blanchard, owner of Cobblestone Quilts in Townsend, Ma., stopped in this week and showed us her Fabulous hexagon chicken quilt!
Check it out! It's made entirely of chicken fabric! Lots and lots of fussy cut chickens!
This is part of the back of the quilt, which is all pieces of chicken fabric! It took her three years to make this quilt.
Now it's done, and she is currently working on this hexagon quilt.
Remember when we did the Bra Project for Breast Cancer? I absolutely loved this chicken bra, which was made by Maureen and now lives in my sewing room.
Check out her website, and if you are around Townsend, stop by her shop! Maureen also has a long arm quilting service!

More of Mine

My brother Bill and his wife Nancy were visiting me this past weekend and stopped by the store on Saturday while I was working. They looked at some of my quilts that were hanging.
My brother liked how there were big bright ones on the right side and they got smaller and darker to the left.
He said it clearly showed a "depraved quilter's gradual decline into madness!"
Isn't he fun? Actually, he really is. The tea cup wallhanging is not that crooked on the top. The top right corner needs to be raided up a bit. Everyone usually thinks the tea bags are real, but I made them from interfacing and shredded corduroy.
This one is my "Fat Lady Singing" quilt.
I made this one from men's wool suit fabric samples a friend had given me.
I guess the embroidery is a little weird.
It was fun though!
I love these buttons. A flower, plant pot, and butterflies.
It doesn't show well in the picture, but the person has a pansy flower face silver button.
