For The Guys

There's a lot of fabric out now that is perfect for making a "guy" quilt.  This couch quilt I just made is actually Downton Abbey fabric but it is more manly than girly!  I put minkee on the back to make it really cozy!

Willie has a floral in the center of her quilt but I still think it would be great for a guy!
The fabric is Joel Dewberry's new line called Botanique!  I love the fabric Willie used on the border!

Lynne Conroy attended a dying class taught by Elin Noble awhile back and recently made this Shibori quilt with the fabric she dyed in class!  What guy wouldn't love this one!

We just received this fabric called Double Vision from Andover and it too would be great for a man in your life!

Moda calls this line of fabric that we received this week "Little Black Dress" but really, what guy doesn't like a little black dress!

And of course we have Parson Gray fabric,

which is always perfect for your favorite guy!

Valentine's Day is coming! Wouldn't your guy love a cozy couch quilt made just for him?

Tuesdays With Carol

This hat was needle felted by Judith Dalmas!  She started it in a class with Carol Ayotte.

She calls it a "learning curve."

Carol made this quilt using "The Ghastlies" fabric from Alexander Henry!

It inspired Olive to make one for her daughter, Olive! The quilting was done by Trish Wolski.
This is my gray and orange quilt that is hanging in the shop now.

There were some ladies looking at it yesterday that I was talking to and I couldn't find a picture of this baby quilt I also had made so they could see the same type of quilt in a different color combination.

So here it is!  I found the picture!

I'm glad the snow finally stopped!  That seemed like a long storm!
We will be open as usual today, ten o'clock.  I can't believe it is only 6 degrees out!

Joanne made this Christmas quilt!

Here's the back with her leftovers!
Don't forget the Christmas fabric full price bolt fabric remains on sale - 25% Off - until the end of the month!

New Fabric

It's snowing out! A real blizzard.  Tomorrow's weather is questionable so we might be closed or opening late.  Please call to make sure we are open before you venture out.

The fabric keeps coming!  This is Mosaic by Marcia Derse!

I love the texture and designs!

Malka Dubrawsky also has a new line from Moda!
It has fun bright colors and will coordinate with her previous lines!

These polka dots are linen Mochi dots from Moda!  They will mix well with anything!
The storm will end and all will be back to normal soon!

Hapi Hapi Hapi!

We have the Hapi! collection of fabric by Amy Butler in stock!

I made this quilt top already using the Carry All Tote And Throw pattern, sort of!  I made a few changes to accommodate the fabric.  Like the outer border.  The big triangles fit perfect under my 8 1/2 ruler without me having to fuss with it. I love when that happens!

On Display

This month we have this quilt I made on display.  It is lap quilt size for my living room couch.
I crocheted this hassock to use while I am using the couch quilt.  The orange is not so bright in person as it is in this picture!

This quilt is one I made using the Betsy quilt pattern.

Willie hand pieced all these diamonds together and appliqu├ęd them to the background for this wallhanging!

Willie made this wine bottle themed tablerunner!  Perfect from serving wine and cheese on a coffee table!  This would make a great hostess gift along with a bottle of wine!

This quilt is a baby quilt made by Willie!

Here's another baby quilt made by Willie!

Willie made this small lap quilt using Christmas fabrics!  This is a great quilt to make for young children as a couch quilt!  Or make it a little larger for an older child or adult.  It's quick and a great gift for next Christmas, perhaps for Grandchildren?
Now is the time to think about next Christmas's gift list because all full price Christmas fabric on bolts is 25% off until the end of January!  So plan some Christmas projects and save on the fabric!
