Quilts

Terry Curry made this embroidered baby quilt!

 Judy made this fun striped quilt!  It made me want to pull out my stripes and make one for me!

Barbara Leblanc is finding her UFO's and getting them done!  

 Willie experimented and made the "jelly roll race" quilt using the six inch rolls of fabric from Westminster!  I love the result!
Can you feel fall in the air?  Micki has this Halloween wallhanging finished and ready to be hung!

Micki has this wallhanging top completed!  She says she has worked on it slowly over a number of years and is excited to have it done!

Kids!

MacKenzie and Delaney stopped by twice last week!  First they showed up with their Grandma and showed us their mermaid skirts that Grandma had made!
Then they arrived with these cute outfits also made with fabric from Tumbleweed!  They are lucky girls, Grandma makes really nice clothes for them!

Paula had her Grandsons visiting last week!  While they were there, they spent time making quilts!
Jake designed this geometric wallhanging and choose the colors, along with sewing!

Lyle made this one with a leopard!

Great job!!

More Proper Bostonians

The ladies from the Proper Bostonian Guild brought show and tell when they came to class Wednesday!  Charlotte Halloran made this red zig zag quilt!
Carol Ayotte showed us one of her latest creations!

Charlotte started this bag in class with Willie and it was finished for her by Colleen Farrell!


Ann O'Connell brought her landscape in!  Another time the Bostonians came down they made landscapes with Carol and Ann had her's framed!  It looks like a painting, but it's all fabric!
Cindy MacDougall had her "stuff" in her woven bag!  Another time the Bostonians came down to make woven bags with Willie.

Proper Bostonians

Ten ladies from the Proper Bostonian Quilt Guild were at Tumbleweed yesterday to take a class taught by Carol Ayotte!  They were making a wallhanging like this one done by Carol.
They worked on this block as an exercise.

Pat Kelleher worked in blues!

 Cindy Lane had hot colors!
Charlotte Halloran chose reds!

Linda Young used a little of a lot of colors!

A good time was had by all!

Quilts

Marie Spadaro came across a inspiring fabric and this was the result!
Emily made a blue and brown baby quilt with dots!

She was having so much fun adding she couldn't stop so here's the result - a dotted back!

Kathy Thurston needed more "scraps" to make this bright quilt a little larger!  Click to see the black and white sashing fabric, it's a nice addition!

Ruth Wilcox had fun sewing with her Granddaughter, Mikayla, on left, and her friend Emily all week while they were visiting her!   They made themselves lap quilts this time!

Misc.

Marcia Derse fabrics arrived today!
A whole shelf full!  

Don't they look good?  I can't decide what ones I want to use first!

Take a look at this quilt!  It is spectacular!  

This memory quilt was made from ties and men's shirts belonging to Arthur S. Brown MD and was designed by Ellen Swain and Margie Poland-Steele.

It was machine pieced and hand appliquéd by Margie and machine quilted by Marianne Bowman in Falmouth.

Lynn Acheson from England made this top!  It's her first big quilt and she was in to layer it today!
Aimee Cook has finished her life size Uncle Sam Wallhanging!  It looks great!  She's been working on it for awhile.
