Fall quilts

The Monday morning group has quilts on display this month. Two versions of the " Over The River and Through The Woods" quilt from Crabapple Hill are hanging.

This one, done by Mary,
and this one, done by Nancy.
A few pumpkin quilts, also done by Mary add to the festive Fall atmosphere.
The Haunted Houses Halloween quilt was done by Valerie. This is another pattern from Crabapple Hill. I'm currently working on this quilt. I think I have three more houses to go. The houses are versions of a quilt shop, beauty salon, cafe, etc. They're really cool!
Dot Hanson let us hang her batik leaves quilt. Beautiful Fall colors are represented in this quilt.
Another one of Valerie's quilts has old fashioned children celebrating Halloween.
You can't have Fall without apples, can you? Apple pie, apple crisp, apples, applesauce, apples, apples, and more apples! Thank you Mary!
Now we have Barbara's Fall leaves tablerunner, and also her haunted house.
Come in for a closer look! They'll be hanging until the end of the month.

New jelly rolls and charm packs have arrived!

Ruth's fish class was last week. These two pictures are of the same fish.
One taken with a flash, and one without. What a difference! That's what happens when you make magic fish.

I'd like to make a tree quilt myself. All's I need is time!

Quilt Show

The Cape Cod Quilters had their show last weekend. Here are some of the quilts that were there. I have more for another day, too. First, this adorable cow!

Next we have Willie's quilt artfully displayed over the piano.

Here's Willie's version of a "Dear Jane" quilt. Love it!
Now on to someone's black, white, and red quilt.
Then, there's this one. A great guy quilt! Awesome.

Katherine Butterworth finished these next two quilts. A beautiful, classic red and white one,
and houses made from Kaffe Fassett fabric.

Tv Quilts

Okay, is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of quilts on tv lately? I watched a lot of tv this past weekend (mostly caught up on recently taped shows), and there seemed to be more than the usual amount of quilts. So, of course I paused the tv and took bad pictures off the tv screen. Click them to see the quilts better. On Medium, Alison Dubois always has a nice quilt on her bed. The better to dream by.

Gary Sinisi on CSI New York is shown in this flashback sequence visiting his sick father and there's a nice quilt on the couch.
Here he is in his Father's room and his father has a quilt over him.
This is Owen Wilson in Marley and Me. He's married to Jennifer Aniston in the movie and they have this big quilt on the wall in both of the houses they live in . I didn't know the movie was so sad at the end.
And then there's Bones. Booth and Bones are investigating a murder that involves an Amish youth. There's a pretty quilt on the bed. The quilt is very light and didn't come out great in the picture, but you get the idea.
Booth even sits on the bed and says, "This in a nice quilt".
When they go outside there's a quilt hanging on the clothesline.
I think it's great that the writers and set designers are including quilts in their shows!
