Memorial Day Quilts

During the Cape Cod Cares For Our Troops extravaganza held at the Kmart plaza yesterday approximately 70 quilts were given Veterans!!  These quilts were made and collected by the "Quilt Bank" quilters, part of the Bayberry Quilters of Cape Cod, led by Grace Filliman, chairman, and Lu Obarowski.

Here is part of the pile of quilts that are awaiting recipients and volunteers waiting to hand them out!

Grace and Lu are pictured above, and Lu below, greeting and handing out quilts!

Adele Scott, who took these pictures, and her Mom, Gloria, (pictured below),  helped make quilts and were on hand to watch them being given out!

Besides Veterans, Quilt Bank works year round to make quilts to have on hand for disaster victims, seriously ill children and anyone in need.  More information can be found at bayberryquiltersofcapecod.comhttps://www.bayberryquiltersofcapecod.com/quilt_bank_2010.html.
