Studio Club Grace and Charm Quilt

The women of Studio Club who meet every Thursday at Tumbleweed, finished this patriotic queen sized quilt yesterday!
The design was taken from the book, "Women of Grace and Charm", a quilting tribute to the women who served in the military in World War II.
Mary Ann Hamshire provided the fabrics, Club members started putting the blocks together in January and Mickie Heath (pictured) assembled the blocks, sashed and bordered them and expertly machine quilted it.
The "stars" represent the service star that families placed in their windows to recognize sons and daughters in the armed forces.
Now, we are looking for a good home for this special quilt. We would like to recognize a woman from Cape Cod who has served in either Iraq or Afghanistan in the past 10 years. Please contact Sue Campbell (pictured with quilt) at: quiltysue@comcast.net, or Mary Carlson at: sockless52@yahoo.com, or call send a note to Tumbleweed, 1919 Main St., West Barnstable, Ma. 02668 with your suggested candidates.
The following information is required: name, address, telephone number, branch of armed forces, area of combat, and dates of active duty. The nominees will be reviewed by December 15th. Hopefully, the "Studio Club Grace and Charm Quilt" will find the perfect home in time for the holidays!
